Food Without Morals


Who am I? How did I get here? What’s my name again?

I’m Katie, the person running diz biznezz. I’m a university student in a Boston school who rents a nice room in Quincy because my school doesn’t believe in dormitories.

I love to bake and cook, generally in that order, and I do it in my kitchen I share here in Quincy, as well as in my parents’ house in Connecticut, and my Aunt’s house in New Hampshire. This satisfies me (and my relatives), and makes me feel like I am actually a wandering traveler, rather than a quiet homebody who likes nothing better than to curl up and read for hours on end.

Taking pictures of food is a new experience to me, and I’m pretty much terrible at it. But I have heard about this thing where “practice makes perfect” which my professors keep telling me (like, studying? what’s up with that?), so I figured I’d give it a try. And that’s this blog!

Oh, and the name? Well, I have a lot of food issues (not allergies, more boring and pedestrian than that) and I was sick of hearing how sinful food is. Food has no morals; it is merely kilocalories and nutrients; it does not judge you for eating it, so you should not judge yourself.
